Surface Pro 3 aims to give you desktop PC power in a portable convertible tablet form

MS has had some difficulty penetrating the tablets  market in the past, as their hardware has been considered too expensive for what you get. The tablets have also targeted both other tablets as well as laptop replacements with their convertible flip design, but it seems that buyers didn't find huge value in the product to an extent that Microsoft could put a big dent in the market. However, this latest version looks like they are trying harder and have addressed some of the shortcomings of earlier versions, so maybe this will be the one that gets Microsoft back in the game.   See the official announcement at on the MS Surface blog.
